Cheran School, a brand name in the field of  education ,was started in 1982 with just 100 students at Ramakrishnapuram, Karur. Then the school developed gradually and gained name and fame throughout the district .  We have achieved academic excellence by imparting quality education to the students community.We have been producing District and State ranks in Secondary and Higher Secondary Board Examinations. In year 1999 the institution has been working most effectively with two more additional branches within Karur District.

                         In the year  2023 , Cheran Universal Public School, (CUPS)  was started at Punnamchathiram with a state-of-the-art infrastructure. CUPS has grown to become a centre of excellence in the development of young children. The entire purpose of CUPS is to educate and to orient students towards the future citizens of a great nation, in all walks of life.
