    KINDERGARTEN


  1.              The Kindergarten is a time to develop a sense of mastery through achievements in cognitive, social and motor skills.
  2.          Kindergarten at Cheran Universal Public School is a comfortable, caring and blissfull environment that nurtures the children.


SPECIAL FEATURES

  1.       The open quadrangle , indoor play area, pleasurable pathway , well ventilated spacious classrooms, the experience rich learning corners can pave the way for sensorial, experiential learning journey .​​​​​​​
  2.    The learning process at CUPS is “ Touch, Feel , Sense & Learn “. We have an application support for the visual- based learning and printable materials too. Individual chapter have multiple activities and animated videos. We are inculcating the strong base in phonetics in this level of learning.
  3.      These experiences provide a strong foundation for math, reading and writing skills as they move to Grade – I.   

    PRIMARY GRADE (I - V)


  1.             The primary curriculum aims to provide broad learning experiences and encourages a rich variety of approaches to teaching and learning that cater to the different needs of individual children.


SPECIAL FEATURES

  •     Concept based learning is followed to discourage rote memory and surface learning.  A deep learning with understanding to apply the  concepts at appropriate situation is laid as the foundation for further learning.
  1.    Periodical assessment and suitable remedial measures are taken to make them stronger in fundamentals.
  2.    To practise at home , we are providing Abhyasa kit with worksheets as daily routine activity.
  3.      Pedagogical dimensions through smart learning.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (VI & VII)

  •        Children of Middle School [ From Grade VI] follow National Council of Educational Research and Training [NCERT] for their academics supplemented by practical cognitive sessions that would facilitate love for learning amidst the students.
           Mid level of school is the decisive phase in the scholastic preference of a student. Children study various subjects by scrutinizing and not by scanning as at the primary level.

            A meticulously planned transition program is designed in the beginning of grade VI to familiarise the children with new subjects.
